Hermitage Heart108 Bowls: A Water MalaGristmill HermitageNews

DONATE

Donations to Hermitage Heart are gratefully accepted.

We are a non-profit religious corporation, with 501(c)3 status, and donations are tax deductible.

If you would like specifically to support the right action project on the global water crisis, total costs to make a full 108 Bowl Water Mala, with the bowls going to individuals as gifts, ranges from $8000-$12,000, depending on whether the bowls are shipped or given at an event, and the transportation costs for the dedication ceremony.  The spirit of the Water Mala project is one of offering and receiving, and a basic faith in generosity— dana, or "selfless giving." Everyone involved in the project has offered their services free of charge or well below scale.

Our hope is to make dedicated bowls available, ultimately, to all those they might support. One bowl made its way as a gift to a couple in Pakistan just prior to the recent floods. Aitken Roshi's sangha received one a few weeks before his passing in Hawaii. Many are in practice in the Gulf states, as people work with the daily challenges to the watershed, life systems and human resilience faced there.

Donations of any amount are helpful and deeply appreciated.

(If donating by mail, checks should be sent payable to Hermitage Heart, Inc; POB 448, Garrison, NY 10524.)
